Tracey Kuffner

"There is nothing that can't be made from wool..."

Tracey lives on a small farm in Southern Alberta with her husband, two children, 150 sheep and a handful of llamas. She has been a felt maker for 11 years.  She runs a small business called The Woolmine and creates one of a kind hand felted clothing and accessories.

Felting is the process of layering raw wool in different directions and then matting the fibres together through agitation, using soap and water. The result is a strong, warm, cushiony fabric. The wool Tracey uses for her beautiful designs comes from the sheep she raises and is dyed by herself and her family.
