Miles Constable
"I find painting in abstract and non-representational genres to be very challenging and liberating... You have to learn how to not think and allow your sub-conscious more freedom."

Miles Constable was born in southern Saskatchewan and worked for Environment Canada before beginning his "second career" as an artist.
His latest series is a set of minimal abstract paintings focusing on the concepts of line, shape and texture. By using just 3 colours - white, black and one other, Miles has developed a immediately recognizable style. Each painting is a unique set of shapes, gestures and sensibilities that express the "human-built" city environment.
Paintings from Miles' recent show Winter to Spring to Summer can be seen here.
